ADORE stands for Advances in Diabetes, Obesity, Research and Endocrinology. ADORE 2020, a two day virtual event will be held on Dec 19th and 20th 2020 with a live feed going across the world. The last few years has shown an explosion in advances across all areas of diabetes, from diagnosis to treatment. Understanding the Pathophysiology, to developing the most advanced treatment options based on evidence needs decades of work. We will be joined by faculty who have shaped our understanding of diabetes over the years. Program highlights include lectures by clinician scientists like Dr. Louis Philipson, Dr. Samuel Klein, Dr. Rohit Kulkarni, Dr. Sunder Mudliar and Dr. Allison Goldfine

Advances in technology and AI is having a huge impact in all our lives. Our session on technology brings to you experts in mathemathics, computer engineering, bioengineering from UC Berkeley. Dr. Daniel Fletcher, Dr. Dorian Liepmann, Dr. Claire Tomlin and Dr. Shankar Sastry will be presenting their work on advances and research that are likely to change the way we diagnose diseases, deliver drugs, use algorithms and practice medicine. Dr. Divya Rao and entrepreneurs – Dr. Anand Sivaraman, Mr. Bhargav Sosale and Mr. Florian Savoy will join us for an eye opening session to look at the world’s first offline smart phone algorithm for detection of diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. Are we close to a cure? – is a question often asked to most practicing doctors at least once a day. We eagerly await to listen to experts from Harvard Medical School on where we currently stand on stem cell research in diabetes. The era of personalized medicine is here and we bring to you an update on diagnostic dilemmas in young onset diabetes from experts in genetics from the University of Chicago
